So why this book?

I believe the Kwanzaa season is the right time to prioritize Blackness in a way that builds us up on an individual level. We have to be willing to start with ourselves. I frame the work of this book as “Principal Processing”. An opportunity to apply the Nguzo Saba intentionally in our lives in service of strengthening us as a people. We can’t be stronger together while choosing to solely remain weak alone.

How it works:

My hope is that you will walk away with an understanding of the impact of each Kwanzaa principle & how it applies to your life, family and community. You will also reflect on each principle with a writing prompts, questions & activities. Through affirmations and quotes begin to reset your thinking on ideas & systems that don’t serve to build us up. Finally, restore yourself spiritually, physically & emotionally through the commemoration of Kwanzaa.
